Childhood oncology cancer camps are places where children with cancer, in remission of cancer, or whom have beaten their cancer, can go to be with other kids with similar, different or the same diagnoses. These camps offer fun and respite while enabling the child to be away from hospital rooms and to just have fun outside of the treatment centers. Camps encourage the children to build lifelong bonds and friendships, and the psycho social healing that camp brings to the child is one that is unique to camp.
Camps are often week long sessions with activities such as boating, arts and crafts, archery and many other types of activities that the children can participate in. These sessions enable the child to have fun, play, and just be a kid.

Saw you walking through El Malpais National Monument near Grants, New Mexico today. Good luck as you continue your journey!
Hi. Which camps have you donated to so far?
Mike;
Our 2018 walk across America will be issuing grants to camps in 2019 and after this walk is complete. The grants will be issued to camps based on needs. We will keep everyone informed of which camps receive these grants. Thanks for your reaching out.
